The uniqueness of this room includes the presence of an ancient tunnel dating back to the Roman era, through which the Acqua Vergine from a pool beneath the Pincian Hill flows, also supplying water to the Barcaccia fountain in Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain. The water has been enhanced by an ivory and gold mosaic that adorns the room and makes it unique.
